FAMILY OWNED, BUILT, & LOVED
A Place Where Hearts & Heritage Come Together
The Michel family first homesteaded these 97 acres in 1885, and today it proudly stands as a Missouri Century Farm. For more than a century, this land has remained in our family—now carried forward by us, Jeff and Heather, as the fourth generation of Michels to call it home.
Rooted in tradition and built on love, this farm has witnessed countless moments of family, hard work, and cherished memories. We treasure the heritage passed down through the generations and the time spent together beneath these same skies, walking the same ground our ancestors once did.
It is our joy to share this legacy with you, inviting you to add your own chapter to the story of this place. As you join your lives and families together here, may you begin a lifetime of memories surrounded by the beauty, history, and enduring spirit of the homestead.
OUR MAIN BARN
Our Family has Lovingly Restored the 1848 Timber Framed Barn with Help from the Amish
The barn’s back doors open wide onto a sweeping hayfield, creating a breathtaking backdrop for your wedding ceremony. Out front, the view looks toward the fully restored groom’s cabin, circa 1888, adding historic charm to your celebration. The barn itself offers endless possibilities—it can host your ceremony, or transform into a reception space where guests can dance beneath the stars with the doors thrown open to the night sky.
For a truly magical moment, couples may choose to share their first look in the holler—a secluded haven with a spring-fed creek, open meadow, and a handcrafted swing nestled among trees and bluffs. Nearby, an authentic, lovingly restored 1860’s cabin adds to the timeless beauty of the setting. This enchanting spot feels like a world away from civilization, a hidden slice of heaven where nature and history meet.
With multiple ceremony and reception sites across the property, you have the freedom to design your day exactly as you envision it. From large tents set in scenic locations to seamless combinations with the barn itself, the options are as flexible as they are unforgettable—tailored to fit both your vision and the size of your wedding.
